wahaha! posting on ytd's adventure which is Valentine's day cum our 2years3mth anniversaryhehe =) ytd was quite an happening at Vivocity i guess? so actually ytd me & dear dear was 2 meet at yishun mrt station at 11am but both of us woke up late so we push e timing 30mins later... so i left hse after i was done preparing myself & waited 4 dear dear at yishun mrt station and after awhile she oso reach yishun mrt station... so we waited 4 mrt & took 2 harbour front & here goes e adventure of e day haha
When we reach vivocity, it was quite crowded with a lot of people as it was a saturday and it's also valentine's day... so 1st me & dear dear had a clash on where 2 go haha actually i did tat on purpose de LOL! i will go where she wan 2 go... so we walk around vivocity as we had not gone there for quite some time... so 1st we went 2 national geographic shop & take a look and it was WOW! the price of the items there is so expensive, a normal t-shirt over there coz ezily hit up to a price of $100 or so... so after walking ard, we went 2 look for restaruants coz we were abit hungry...
so we walk & walk ard, dere were few shops with valentine's deal but den their price is lyk $80 & above so we move on 2 e next restaurant & we eyed on either swensens or dian xiao er so after considering & e factors, we decided 2 go 2 dian xiao er coz we had alrdy tried e swensen's food & we nv tried e food frm dian xiao er... so we went 2 queue & it was lyk WOW! so many ppl waiting, so we planted our butts on the end of the bench coz there were ppl waiting in front of us but den e queue wun last long after 5-10mins, we were at the front of e bench... we were looking at e menu while waiting so we ordered Superior Steamed Rice, changed our Roasted Duck with Angelician Herb to Roasted Duck with Ten Wonder Herb for additional of a dollar, Mongolian Spare Ribs (mild spicy), Baby Kai Lian with Salted Fish and Lime, Soup of the Day (Lotus Soup) and an additional order of Oat Prawn haha... Dear Dear had Chinese Tea while i had Sour Plum Lime Juice
Superior Steamed Rice, changed our Roasted Duck with Angelician Herb to Roasted Duck with Ten Wonder Herb for additional of a dollar, Mongolian Spare Ribs (mild spicy), Baby Kai Lian with Salted Fish and Lime, Soup of the Day (Lotus Soup) was a set meal & it added up to $39 exclusive of GST, Service Charge, Wet Towel & Peanut... Oat Prawn was $18, Chinese Tea was $1.20 with free refill of Tea, Sour Plum Lime Juice was $2.20 & taste very good... Once we step into the shop, i was WOW! the view is so so so great but i wonder does dear dear think of this way too? so we were lead to sit at our table while i was still admiring the view... Our food was being served in a a few mins after we sat down at our table... 1st came the rice & soup of the day, next by mongolian spare ribs, followed by baby kai lian, followed by oat prawn & lastly, roasted duck with ten wonder herbs... haha all e food were really very nice especially the Oat Prawn and Roasted Duck... Their Oat was lyk a mountain full and dear dear & i was eating really happily coz both of us lyk to eat the oat, their roasted duck is undescrible, the skin was so crispy omg~ haha we ate & sit down happily for an hr... But during e experience, we encountered some unsightly moment which i dun wan 2 mention and bcoz of tat unsightly scene, we got a free desert, Aloe vera as a complementary desert...
so after we paid up the bills, the total amount is $75.35 but it was worth it, great view and great food except for some unsightly monments... so after tat, we took a walk ard vivo city and we saw a road show on wedding de den we went 2 take a look den suddenly gt 1guy approach us and ask us to take a seat den i & dear dear was so shocked ah~! haha den we rejected him & told e guy, we haven reach the age limit haha sry... so we cont 2 walk
we saw alot of ppl eating cornetto ice cream and i was wondering how come so many ppl is eating e ice cream, no matter where we walk there will be ppl eating the ice cream... so as we move on, we saw a long queue and we went 2 take a look and there were ppl giving out 10k free cornetto ice cream on valentine's day so tat make sense nw y so many ppl r eating e ice cream... so me & dear dear went 2 queue up so while we were queuing den a lady said sry ice cream had been all given out, so me & dear dear walk 2 e front where they give the ice cream & i overheard tat their crew said dere's ard 50 ice cream more 2 b given out so me & dear dear innocently went back into the queue as most of the crowded has walked away after tat we got our ice cream wahaha den so many ppl was standing ard e rubbish bin & peeling away e wrapper and throwing the wrapper away haha so dear dear & me ate the ice cream & i had 2 hlp dear dear eat away all the brownie so i ended up eating 2ice cream... haha after eating e ice cream after e awhile, nature's called byebye~ went 2 toilet haha...
we went 2 daiso & take a look ard and at e same time, hlp dear's dear's mum buy peeler as she nid 2 peel the skin of the fruits, potato, etc. we were perspiring & feel suffocated coz there was too many ppl walking in daiso & e air con, it felt lyk it wasn't on and e space inbetween one rack to another was so cramp that only one person can walk so we bought the things tat we nided and left daiso...
we went 2 cold storage and get mineral water for ourself, next we went 2 vivo mart which is giant so we walk ard giant & dear dear gotten herself 2 towel, next we proceed down to the fruits and food section where we had 2 take escalator so when we reach there, there were strawberries offer... the strawberries were frm korea and it was sold at $2.30 per packet & suddenly i gt 2 ans nature's call again so here i go again... after tat i meet dear dear at candy empire, way too many ppl inside candy empire but dun care we just shop 4 sweets haha i bought the nature's confectionary sour bear while dear bought M&M, Hersey's Kiss (buy one get one free) haha after tat we took mrt home back 2 yishun...
Upon reaching yishun, we called up those ppl hu is coming 2 hlp yao de celebrate his birthday soon after everybody reached and we went 2 sakura & queue while queuing we ordered our food and soon after awhile, it's our turn and we were sitting in the middle of the whole sakura as our group is the biggests & their biggest table is also in the middle of their restaurant haha... Everybody had finish their food, me & dear dear went 2 collect yao de's birthday cake and return back to sakura ASAP... after everything is done, we went 2 walk ard NP b4 me & dear dear head back home haha...
